After many previous announcements, and not doing a thing, after so much criticism, Biden Administration is taking a few steps to dismantle the heavy burden of sanctions… Some of the most important decisions are the resumption of the Family reunification program and the opening of the possibility of people-to-people exchange, meaning, American groups of visitors coming to Cuban under a general license are some of the most critical decisions… The reason behind all of this is not the good heart of those in the White House, is because they know that the current rising numbers of Cubans taking the irregular route to get to the US has to do a lot with how hard living conditions are in Cuba also because of the sanctions… They know that if they keep pushing for the irregular migration they will provoke a crisis, that it is not in their interest.
