Cuba is getting ready to reopen its restaurants and bars… The pandemic is far from over, there are around seven thousand cases each day, vaccination is underway, and around 8 million people have already been vaccinated with at least one dose… The healthcare system is under tremendous stress, there is a shortage of antibiotics, and many other meds, but it´s been almost two years of this closure, and the economy can’t wait any longer for some sort of oxygen… The government has said that on November 15th the international borders will open, and more flights will land in several international airports all across the island… It is a hard step to take, a lot of people are asking for more a break in this regime of restrictions, others are afraid that the Delta variant will take an even higher toll….Hi, this is Cuba today.
