National and International news, with an update of COVID-19 epidemic in Cuba and around the world. Cuba is facing a complex situation related to the reversal of the progress that had been made in controlling the COVID-19 epidemic. This Monday, 93 new positive cases were reported in the country and since August 1, over 400 cases have been diagnosed on the island. Starting this Monday, Havana is returning to the strict application of the limited native transmission phase, which implies the total suspension of public transportation and taxis, the closing of beaches, parks, restaurants and cafeterias, and the cessation of all non-essential work activities.The situation with the COVID-19 pandemic here in the Cuban capital has worsened over the past several days and Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel spoke to the issue over the weekend.
