Cuba has a new Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, that just ended its eighth congress… As expected, Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez was elected as the first secretary of the party… The Central Committee was renewed as well… For the first time, in over six decades, Cuba will not have at the head of the most important political institution of this country a member of the historic generation, that which led the guerilla war that forced dictator Batista into exile… Raul Castro is retiring healthy, with the satisfaction of accomplishing the task, on his own terms, and passing the baton to a new generation… What a nightmare for those that invaded the Bay of Pigs exactly 60 years ago… Hi, this is Cuba today.
